At the same time, Chuzhou Branch of China Household Appliances Research Institute is about to start construction, which is the only one in China. After the rapid development during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period, Chuzhou home appliance information and equipment manufacturing industry has grown into an important pole of the home appliance industry in our province and even the whole country, and the 100 billion yuan home appliance industry has taken solid steps.

In 2010, the annual output of various household appliances in Chuzhou exceeded 16 million units. The output value of home appliance information industry exceeded 20 billion yuan for the first time, reaching 26 billion yuan, accounting for 20% of the output value of large enterprises in the city. There are more than 800 home appliances, spare parts and other related enterprises in the city. At present, Chuzhou has a production capacity of 11 million color TV sets, accounting for 2 / 3 of the province's output. 4.6 million refrigerators, accounting for one third of the province's output; 4.8 million household air conditioners, accounting for 1 / 5 of the province's output. Siemens, Konka, Dongling qinkai, Shenhua, Yangzi, Jinshuai, Kosi, Kunpeng and many other well-known household appliance enterprises have taken root and developed in Chuzhou. Chuzhou household appliances is gradually forming a high density household appliance industry cluster with coordinated development of industrial chain. Wang Tuqiang, vice mayor of Chuzhou, told reporters: "five years ago, Chuzhou household appliances were mainly supporting, with single category, low production capacity and main commodities. The current situation benefited from the household appliance development policy of Chuzhou leaders leading, cultivating supporting, paying attention to scientific research and strengthening services."

In recent years, Chuzhou has paid special attention to the development of household appliances and supporting enterprises while introducing and expanding leading enterprises and large enterprises. At present, there are more than 80 mold manufacturing enterprises in the city. The manufacturing of refrigerator vacuum forming mold and foaming mold accounts for more than 70% of the market share in the field of refrigerator mold manufacturing in China, and more than 80% of the domestic market share in the production of non-standard equipment of complete production lines of household appliances and solar water heaters. At present, Chuzhou has formed six ecological industry supporting clusters of manufacturing and service industries, including economic and Technological Development Zone, Langya household appliance information industry cluster, qinlan town photovoltaic electronics industry cluster of Tianchang City, silicon energy industry cluster of Lai'an county and Nanqiao District, and household appliance supporting industry cluster of Quanjiao county. The local supporting capacity of refrigerators, air conditioners, color televisions and household appliances is 80%, 70%, 40% and 60% respectively.

Paying attention to government guidance services and scientific research and development is another "secret" for the development of Chuzhou household appliance industry. Chuzhou has adopted the methods of horizontally improving the industrial chain, vertically guiding industrial agglomeration, cultivating professionals in Colleges and universities, establishing a public testing platform and building an industry university research center, so that the city has one national enterprise technology center, six national high-tech enterprises, four national and provincial innovative pilot enterprises and five provincial enterprise technology centers, Siemens also settled its Asia Pacific R & D center in Chuzhou. Chuzhou has built a 300000 square meter standardized plant in the development zone to cultivate and incubate scientific and technological enterprises. At the same time, introduce logistics enterprises, help enterprises apply for high-tech enterprises or technological transformation projects, provide incentives, and encourage enterprises to cooperate with domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutes to solve key problems in industry, University and research. More than 400 new products, technologies and processes are independently developed every year. Last year, the city also implemented 84 home appliance technological transformation projects with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan.
